Re-imagining Referencing on RMIT’s Library Website

Looking to redesign their user experience for referencing system on the RMIT Library. This project was conducted in three parts:

Initial research

The first steps were to conduct autoethnographic research which was completed through user interviews. The findings of the research were presented through a story board and user experience map.

Concept Generation & Presentation

The next step was presenting threeconcepts that aimed to create a better referencing experience for users based on the research results gathered. Through this presentation I was able to highlight the risk and benefits of three different proposed concepts aiming to improve the referencing experience for students.

Refining concepts and presenting the final design

Lastly was refining the concept that was chosen by the RMIT Library, this involved creating high fidelity prototypes to present to the client. This presentation demonstrated the future state of the website and the improvements that new UX would provide on RMIT’s Library website.
